Shipping and Receiving Clerk
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing, scheduling and tracking domestic and international shipments from parcel to freight. The shipping department is also responsible for receiving raw goods in a timely manner.
Essential Responsibilities
- Meeting production schedules and standard timeframes for shipment.
- Utilize a variety of software from our ERP system to carrier label and tracking programs.
- Assessing and documenting in-bound and out-bound freight damage, filing disputes as necessary.
- Drive a forklift to load and unload shipping trailers as needed.
- Call customers and carriers to coordinate freight as needed.
- Ability to read a tape measure and apply spatial reasoning skills when determining box size.
- Consistently maintain a clean and organized work area.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma; associates degree in Manufacturing preferred.
- 2 years shipping and/or receiving experience preferred.
- Forklift Operating License and experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- 95% or more of the time on feet.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Repetitive movement such as twisting/bending, hand gripping is required.
This position is eligible for a $500.00 sign-on bonus.
